Wireless Network Setup
Wireless access is available in academic buildings as well as any location marked with a “Wireless Zone” sign on campus. To connect to the wireless network, open a web browser. Your browser will automatically re‐direct you to a user authentication page. Log in with your Geneseo email username and password. After logging in, all network applications will behave normally.
In Your Room - Connecting via Ethernet
1. Plug your computer into the ethernet jack provided in your room using an ethernet cable. If you do not have the necessary cable, you can purchase one in the campus store. Boot up your computer.
2. Open a web browser (IE, Firefox, or Safari) to begin the registration process. Sign in with your Geneseo email account information. An automatic assessment tool will scan your computer to ensure that your system is ready for the network.
3. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the process. If your computer fails the scan, please contact the HelpDesk at 245‐5588.
4. Shut down your computer. Restart after about five minutes. When you boot up again you should be connected to the Geneseo network.

All Geneseo students can
download virus protection and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher) for FREE. Login with your Geneseo username and password.
myGeneseo is your campus connection to email, student balances, Knightweb, campus news and events, and more.
Sign up for NY-ALERT to receive Geneseo related emergency notifications through email, phone, and text messaging.
This online interactive learning center provides students with access to some course materials, communication tools and more.
