It's so sad to hear that Borders is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy...and I used to go to the Ann Arbor's Borders, too! Notice what they say about how Borders wasn't able to keep up with the digital demand for books.

I work for Barnes and Nobles during the summers and breaks, and they were constantly trying to quell rumours that the company was going to be sold or going out of business...but I ams still skeptical.  I guess the good news for Barnes and Noble is that they are pushing thier "Nook" and online sails heavily.  Still, can an internet presence and a reading device keep the physical stores (and all the jobs that go along with it) open?

It would be a shame if book stores became completely obsolete.  I love the feeling of holding a book!
