Self Help - Using Geneseo Computer Labs

Login is Required
Campus computing users must log in to all machines in Geneseo's computer labs. Login will provide access to the machine and the printers in the labs. A valid login consists of your Geneseo e-mail username and password.

Remember to Logout
When you are finished using a machine in the lab, don't forget to logout. If you do not logout, the next person who uses that computer will have access to all of your personal files - including your e-mail. The next user will also be able to print using your allocation of pages.

Windows XP: Click on the Start menu; select select Log Off.
Windows Vista: Click on the Windows menu; click on the |> icon; select Log Off.
Macintosh OS X: Click on the Apple menu; select Log Out.

Printing
Most computer labs also have at least one printer located nearby. At the beginning of each semester, students will be allocated a specific number of pages to print on public laser printers. Their allocation will be reduced per page based on personal login in the computing labs. Once the balance falls to $0.00, you will not be allowed to print. Money can be added to your printing balance online via credit card or in the Student Accounts Office (Erwin 103).
