Geneseo has implemented a link to the Barnes & Noble's Enlight Book Adoption site from each Geneseo course. Faculty may also enable a "Bookstore" app to make it easy for their students to purchase course materials from Barnes & Noble. Faculty should refer to Textbook Information on the Provost Website for information about deadlines and textbook adoption instructions

Faculty Enlight Book Adoptions

The Faculty Enlight Book Adoptions menu item will be automatically hidden from your students. Faculty do not need to disable the menu item.

  1. Click on the "Faculty Enlight Book Adoptions" link in the course menu
Canvas navigation menu with Faculty Enlight Book Adoptions highlighted
  2. You will be redirected to Barnes & Noble FacultyEnlight
  3. Your browser will open a new tab. Log into FacultyEnlight with the username and password you created for the site. If you have never registered for Enlight before, create a new account.

Enabling the Bookstore page for your students

When you enable the Bookstore page, your students will be able to click on the link to directly access the campus bookstore. If you want your students to have access prior to the start of the semester, you must Open a Course to Students Before the 1st day of Class.

  1. Navigate to your Course Settings, and click on the Navigation tab.
  2. Locate the Bookstore menu item at the bottom of the hidden items section. Enable the page by dragging it up to the course navigation menu items or click on the down arrow and select Enable.
Bookstore navigation item in Canvas moved to inactive column, just above Save button
  3. (warning) Remember to save your Navigation changes.
