If you are enrolled in MFA (everyone except generic and department accounts), your passwords must meet the following requirements:
  • Your new password must contain at least 10 characters
  • Your new password must not contain your username
  • Your new password must not contain any parts of your full name
  • Your new password must not contain 'Geneseo' or 'Knights'
  • Your new password must not match any of your previous 25 passwords
  • Your new password must not match any weak or compromised passwords identified by Microsoft

Accounts not enrolled in MFA have similar requirements as above, but also:
  • Your new password must contain at least 8 characters
  • Your password must be complex, which means 3 of the following:
    • At least one uppercase character
    • At least one lowercase character
    • At least one number
    • At least one punctuation character, like ! @ # $ % ^
