IBM's supercomputer, Watson, competed on jeopardy this week against Ken Jennings (who holds the record for the longest winning streak) and Brad Rutter (who holds the record for most money earned). In like something out of Space Odyssey 2001, Watson beat out his competition by a long shot...not without some embarrassing errors though. Last night, the final jeopardy question asked which US airport was named after a WW2 hero and battle. Watson answered "Toronto"..yikes. Even though it may store more information, computers can never replace human judgment and common sense.
