I took a brief screengrab of everyone working in our Google doc yesterday, as we tried to articulate how the critical approach familiarly known as "practical criticism' answers these three questions:
- Why study literature?
- What literature repays study?/What is literature?
- How should we study literature?
In the last few seconds, the view moves down to what people are writing about the way these questions are implicitly answered in Susan Sontag's "Against Interpretation."
