Connection Issues?:

If you see this:

We have seen this happen with users that have used the AnyConnect app to previously connect to the old VPN server and then try to connect to the new one.  The AnyConnect app stores many files and most importantly a connection profile for each VPN server locally and since we used the same server name: asa.geneseo.edu for both the old and new VPN servers there becomes a conflict.  In order to resolve this issue, you need to completely uninstall the AnyConnect app and install again.  However, the built in WIndows "uninstall an application" does not completely remove all of the files and the old connection profile.  Download this free portable program: RevoUninstaller and use it to uninstall the anyconnect app.

1.) Launch RevoUninstaller and click YES

2.)Select AnyConnect and click UNINSTALL then YES

3.)The uninstall will complete, then, under Scanning modes, click the 'Advanced' circle, then click SCAN, then SELECT ALL, then DELETE, then YES to remove all leftover registry files.

4.)Click SELECT ALL then DELETE then YES to remove all leftover folders and files.

5.) Now the app is completely removed from your computer.  Go back to the top of this page and follow the instructions to reinstall.
