As a member of the Geneseo community, there are several options available for file sharing and storage. Each location has its own advantages and disadvantages. - The individual employee is responsible for adhering to FERPA policy when sharing information.
- If encrypted.
- These materials can be publicly viewable, but in most cases, a Geneseo account is required for editing or creating content.
- Limited functionality.
- Files stored in Google Drive are not easily restored. If you install the Google Drive application on your computer, you can use desktop backup to back up non-Google file types. Many Google Drive Files (docs/sheets etc) are versioned but are also very difficult to restore if deleted.
