Computing & Information Technology (CIT) invites applications for the following student, part-time positions available for Spring 2013. Student employees must have full-time student status at Geneseo.

The Graphic Designer assists CIT with publications, marketing web graphics, training materials and other materials for the Digital Media, Instructional Technologies, and User Services staff. Applicants must be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator and should provide some sample graphic design work when applying for this position. A strong foundation in the principles of graphic design and marketing is required. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, customer focused and work independently. 

The Web Content Assistant position helps to improve and deliver a compelling online presence for CIT. Responsibilities include evaluating consistency, reliability and usability. The applicant should be a strong and clear communicator with an effective technical writing style that is fresh, consistent and customer focused. This position requires a knack for writing in a variety of formats and styles for multiple audiences. A basic understanding of web technologies is desired.

The Student Technology Support Assistant (TSA) works directly with CIT's Student Technology Coordinator to provide support of Geneseo's computing labs. Applicants must be proficient in current Windows and Macintosh operating systems and able to work independently with training and instruction. The TSA will be trained as a HelpDesk Tech, and may be called upon to provide assistance during hectic times in the CIT HelpDesk.

TSAs also deliver completed hardware repairs and install new equipment.

These positions are typically combined into one position for an average of 5 hours per week.During the academic year, the position will work between 4-10 hours each week. Full-time summer 2013 positions are also available.
Pay rate: $8.50/hrPay rate: $8.50/hr
