Learning Outcomes for Oral Discourse
Students will:
- develop proficiency in oral discourse;
- evaluate an oral presentation according to established criteria.
Method of Assessment
In the assessment year for Oral Discourse, each major department will collect data from the course or course(s) in which majors must demonstrate proficiency in oral discourse.
Data may be collected in either the fall or the spring semester, or both. Student work must be evaluated using the Oral Discourse rubric. Department Assessment Coordinators are responsible for recording the number of students who exceed, meet, are approaching, or do not meet each of the outcomes.
