The Department of Theatre and Dance has attempted to assessment two questions each year that will rotate with two other questions during the next year. During previous years, Theatre and Dance had created its own assessment tool which was not in compliance with the university's structure. Last year and this year, we are attempting to follow the proper university guidelines.
Two questions were considered instead of just one. Dr. Blood suggested that we get feedback from each professor and share the notes. 2022-2023 will only consider one question and be assigned to specific course instead of allowing the professor to choose which questions.
Only one question was considered this year; however, followthrough of the professors was a problem. Ten courses were set-up to be considered for assessment. Only three courses were actually followed through at the semester's end. Five courses were commented upon; so the one faculty member, being new to the process, may have failed to understand how to complete the assessment. Future reminders will be needed to ensure that faculty members use the outcomes that they put in their courses at the beginning of each semester.
